COURT ORDERS PIT BULLS TO BE DESTROYED

An American pit bull terrier bitch and her puppy will be destroyed after a court was told today that their "genetic make-up" made them lethal. The bitch named Hulk and her puppy Bruno have been in the care of the RSPCA since last July when they were discovered roaming the streets of Shepherd's Bush, west London, attacking people and other animals.
Their owners, Derek Cunningham, 35, and wife Margaret Cannon, 32, of Tamarisk Square, Shepherd's Bush, denied but were found guilty of causing a cat unnecessary suffering by failing to control the dogs which attacked it. The couple were fined £100 each. RSPCA inspector Jan Eachus told Thames Magistrates Court that the dogs were not safe to be let out because they could not be trusted. "It's not their fault, it's their genetic make-up," he said. Cunningham was ordered to pay £1,000 towards RSPCA costs. /cutting ends

**Of course its not wrong for the dog warden to pick up a roaming dog the betrayal is in the RSPCA giving evidence against the dog which caused its death to be brought about! I see on the ngs some have misunderstood! The dog warden should have notified the owners and asked them to pick Hulk up. They must have known the identity of the owners to have issued a summons re which they were fined!
