The above is a sticker found in a super-market in South Wales. I noticed the IAMS food on Sainsbury's shelves this morning too (16/6/01) at which we were much surprised after all the publicity re their unpleasent treatment of animals.

I am sure there are those of you who will correct me if I am wrong!!!........................

Is this how the RSPCA flout the UK law on charity status?

I understood that to be eligible for charity status one should not indulge in either political activity OR in trading from profit...I may be wrong about this last one.....HOWEVER

You have read the previous article on the manner in which IAMS conduct themselves. Is this seriously the type of firm the RSPCA should be involved with?

You will have seen perhaps on one of the previous pages that the International Fund for Animal Welfare get round the "policital" condition by setting up the Parliamentary Animal Lobby. They have in the past supplied a researcher for Tony Banks (a relative of his at what cost?).etc etc
