WELSH WITCH'S GARDEN APRIL 2004

"AND nearly the end of April" he said...I don't know where the time's gone to!
Hecate is the only one allowed in the greenhouse. BUT see what she's done...she sat in a tray of snapdragons! I couldn't be cross with he as she can't move very easily. She had to have an operation on her foot. She went to the vet's on Tuesday morning at 8am with a lump on her foot.
At 5pm we collected her . The operation was successful and she has cotton wool between all her toes. We were pleased to hear that the lump was only a cyst, but as the vet said its best to operate as they can metastasize. The vets. could certainly show the NHS something!!
You may have gathered that the gardening pages are really an attempt at keeping a diary of what I've done etc. for the benefit of myself (so that I can remember what I've done) and my daughters who have a London garden and a south coast garden.
At this very moment I am soaking some canna seeds (24hours) which are due to be planted at 4pm! Erik has gone to a game fair today and Julian has a lot of website work to do.
As soon as I have planted out seeds in a tray I collect up all the packet covers and put them in my "library" envelope. I have in it to date....

Most of the seeds are up except the pansies. If no disaster occurs like the roof blowing off the greenhouse maybe we can look forward to a colourful summer!
