WELSH WITCH'S GARDEN MAY 2004

Its very difficult labeling all the flowers in this picture which includes coryopteris, lavender tiny campanula round the edge and blue primroses which I can't get in!!

After spending yesterday clearing this part of the "blue" quarter of the magic and the same of the "green" quarter I chanced to look up at the French seat. What a mess it needs painting. I clipped the snowball hedge into the correct shape to fit the seat then took it down under the willow tree.

The grass isn't very good under the tree so I thought I would get the paint off just there. I asked for some Nitromors which I have been told is a miracle worker. It took two tins which cost £4-73 per tin...The paint did blister but what really got most of it off was the dogs' pressure washer...well it always takes the paint off the kennel doors when you don't want it to!

This will need quite a lot more scraping. Hopefully I'll have some more enthusiasm tomorrow. What a boring job! Even Freyja 's bored senseless!

The only problem is we have another 6 seats to attend to three of them from the hospital are very large.Erik suggests we get some pieces of oak, replace the painted wood and just oil them with Danish oil.
