WELSH WITCH'S GARDEN MAY 2004

The weather wasn't helpful. I couldn't see what I was doing half the time as my hair was blowing in my eyes despite the croc.clip!

I have now moved all the straw flowers from their wintering quarters and there are more here.

The honeysuckle is growing really well up all the apple trees. As I was trying to plant the added straw flowers I was digging up gladioli, I know I planted 300 a couple of years ago. The trouble is some enormous raspberries have got into this bed . I have to get them out without destroying the gladioli!

Behind you can see the new raspberries in Erik's garden over the near fence, he is making plans to stake up and fruit cage including the strawberries.

This is "the room of my own!"

This is where the "Chapel" piano lives and Julian's cello.

The big rose whose legs you can see above is Treasure Trove. It isn't out yet but this is last year.

Gloire de Dijon...but not quite as glorious as you would like..perfumed though!

The gloriously perfumed and beautiful
