WELSH WITCH'S GARDEN SEPTEMBER 2002

Although I am
keeping these photographs to look at in the dark days of Winter, I am
also looking at the separate flowers with a view to next year.
The background
is Aster "Spider" I didn't like it very much to start with as
its so pale, but its texture adds greatly to the soft and restful feel
of this bed.
I am fed up wth
the budbleia (I've just looked up the spelling of this awkward word and
the OED says it from Adam Buddle who died in 1715. There seem to be so
many variations of the spelling of this word:-) So I virtually chopped
it almost down to the ground and I shall move them shortly into the Park
garden...they may not survive :-(
