Welsh Witch's Garden March 2004

Just the door
to go on now...almost finished! I've rescued lots and lots of seed boxes
from up by the hen house and put them in a bath of Jeyes fluid to give
them a good scrub.
I have several
boxes of seeds up and have out the bedding dahlias into their separate
pots. Wondering whether I dare risk leaving the seedlings out over night
until the door is on!
Meanwhile up
the east walk. I have decided to dig absolutely everything out and replant
due to the infestation of ground elder with the now inevitable weed breaks
accomplished with a sodium chlorate bath then tiles overlaid so that I
know where I have done it. The stones from the edge have been rolled right
back so that I can dose the edges too. These stones were draped with various
aubretia previously also infested with ground elder but not for long!

The cherry tree
at the top is double and really lovely this Easter Monday is a rather
dark, dank day! This east walk leads on to the orchard garden turn right
at the top by the cherry tree! The slate path is made with the roof from
the old coach house what a good idea I thought having seen slates in a
garden centre. They;re much harder to break than you think!!
